A guide to
The Bespoke Design Process
-
If you are interested in a bespoke design service, for printed stationery or a wedding website, get in touch using the enquiry form here.
We can discuss your vision, budget and timeline. Ideally this will be around 6-12 months before your wedding date.
-
After we have finalised an estimated quote and timeline you will be sent an invoice for your deposit, a contract and a wording guide to begin collecting the information needed for your stationery.
Once these have been completed we can begin your design journey!
-
We will book in a call to talk through your wedding, your style as a couple and the experiences you want to enjoy and give your guests before, during and after your wedding.
During this stage you can share any inspiration you have, any special details you want to include ( illustration, monogram, letterpress etc) and other vendors you have booked who will contribute to your wedding vision.
After this call I will develop a design direction for your wedding stationery / website. This will include moodboard, colour palette, typography and materials.
-
After considering the creative direction you can send back any feedback and considerations for refinement before we move on to the design.
At this stage I also ask for the final wording to be supplied as the style and amount of wording you have can be very influential on the design.
I will then present a full initial design to you, and through a series of feedback and considered proofs we will develop your final design. During this time I can also send out samples to help you make final decisions on colour and materials.
-
Once your final design has been approved and the print files proofed your stationery will be sent to print. After this has been done no changes can be made, so every detail must be checked carefully. Printing times can vary depending on the time of year and the method, letterpress can be 4-6 weeks in production alone.
Bespoke website designs will be published so the rsvp, password etc can be checked and tested before sending to guests.
Hi I’m Kirstin, the designer behind the Noteur. I’m a graphic designer with a background in fashion and an obsession with stationery.
the Noteur started when I began designing wedding stationery for family and friends ... and I loved it so much that I decided to start my own brand.
Over ten years on and each design I create has been lovingly curated for every couple. From beautifully letterpressed paper to sleek and agile websites I believe every wedding has it’s own style and it’s own rules.
